Grace Covenant International has ministered in Paraguay since 2002.  At that time, Angel and Malia Hernandez were our missionaries serving there.  They developed a reentry ministry program to present in prisons.  They raised up Walter Vega to carry on this ministry.

  

Today, Walter Vega leads our GCI (Pacto de Gracia) ministry works in Paraguay.  He encourages our church in San Antonio and connects with other ministry leaders.  He serves to bring faith and reentry classes in a Men's Prison.  Uniquely, he has been approved to teach a reentry program in a Women’s Prison. They are offered faith and training to lead productive lives as they reenter society.  Lives are being transformed. In 2024, Walter was recognized by Paraguay's Ministry of Justice for the faithful work he has been doing in the country!
